How to upgrade the RAM on your computer

Many owners want their teams of memory (RAM) to improve the overall performance of your computer. This is because the memory data storage, and other storage media such as hard drives. The only difference is that the memory temporarily stores data and data that are accessible at random (but, again in constant time, regardless of location). The hard drive, a factor that slows access to data on the hard disk is fragmented. More fragmented a hard drive, the more time will pass before the data again.
Increasing the memory of the computer, also known as “improving the computer’s memory.” Upgrading memory is very easy (if you know the basic procedures and safety measures to take before, see above).
There are many types of RAM for the desktop: Edo (no longer produced and modern PCs), SDRAM, DDR1 and DDR2. These four species are generally those which a modern computer like mine, and you can be. Currently I have two tables with 512 MB of PC2700 DDR memory modules. They are relatively less expensive than DDR2, despite the fact that my motherboard allows you to use DDR1 (or DDR) and DDR2 memory types. To determine which type of memory required for installation on the motherboard, so check the manual before using your memory, you’ll see that doing the right thing.
From the perspective of the operating system, you can list your Macintosh IMAC, and the Windows-based computer system. Adding RAM is fairly simple, but beware of some danger. I think you follow these few simple steps, if you want to do themselves.
- Unplug all cables (power cable, mouse, printer, etc.) on the processor before attempting to open it. Do not open or separate the processor with the cables at the rear. All cables on the back can get a static electricity, the internal components of short-term.
- Wear shoes or slippers. Do not let your feet touch the ground to touch the processor. Again, this is not the components of short-circuit.
- Gloves. I prefer surgical gloves, which are made of plastic. Plastic gloves are good. Keep in mind that it fits perfectly in your hands. A pair of oversized gloves make you feel uncomfortable or damaged parts without your knowledge. Remember that this is a very small place.
- Use of wrist strap (if you have one). You can use it on the carpet to electrostatic discharge.
- When you remove the memory modules, do not press on the clips, which support it, because it could be the motherboard. Avoid clicking on any part of the board of directors. In some areas, can be solved, and maybe your board does not, sooner or later.
- Make sure that the damage or corrosion on the pins of the memory module before installing the memory slots on the motherboard. You can also erase the memory slots with a soft brush that dirt and dust.
- Install a new cable (and other cables that are removed before using the memory modules) for your processor. A power supply before the test for the processor, the new memory works well.
- If something goes wrong and you do not know what is the problem, call a qualified technician. Do not experiment on the computer that does not belong because it can damage the parts or components. This could save lots of money
